For over a century, Timarpur & Civil Lines Puja Samity has stood as more than a Durga Puja committee—it has been a living testament to the journey of a community that carried its traditions across cities and generations. Our theme, "Bangla in the Heart of Delhi – Letters That Built a Home", commemorates the thousands of Bengali families who travelled to Delhi following the transfer of India's capital in 1911. They left behind their ancestral homes, but they carried with them something priceless—their language, traditions, memories, and above all, Maa Durga.​

Through immersive storytelling, heritage-inspired installations, archival recreations, and interactive experiences, this year's celebration seeks to preserve a chapter of Delhi's history that deserves to be remembered by future generations.​
